Kriztov describes bounces

A bounce is the action of rebounding the striker stick against some part of the body, redirecting the swinging direction. While bouncing can appear to be hitting oneself, proper bounces apply little or no hurtful impact to the body. The swing fades into the bounce, and any remaining momentum is absorbed by the body and then redirected into the bounce.

Bouncing is possible off of many parts of the body: hands, wrists, arms, shoulder, neck, chest, waist, legs, knees and feet.
